What started as a way of knowing exactly what was going on her newborn daughter’s skin turned into a business making natural bath and body products.
Jessica launched The Falcon Soaperie in 2011 making hand-cut soaps as well as hand-squeezed puffs, massage and perfume oils, soy candles and bath oil. Her products are custom made and include a variety of ingredients including coconut milk, Shea butter, oatmeal and are even naturally colored using clay.
I met Jessica a few weeks ago and she walked me through how to make a cold process batch of soap that once set, takes 30 days to dry before being shipped to customers. In the shop you can find soaps with everything from Milk Chocolate Swirl to Pink Oats and even Lemongrass Poppy Seed. The handmade bath and body products are packaged in a reusable cotton pouch and made with simplicity and functionality in mind. They are free of chemicals, artificial colorants and fragrances.
The Falcon Soaperie is a member of The Artisan Group, is located in NYC and can be found online at www.thefalconsoaparie.com.
